My name is Michael Joseph Bortoli M.D. I retired from a busy career in 2019. I was a fully trained family medicine physician. I retired as I needed to have neck surgery. As a complication of that surgery, I had a lacerated blood vessel and suffered 2 strokes. The second being a brain stem stroke. I initially did the usual medical treatment and rehab with poor results. I did several nontraditional treatments with minimal results.
Finally, I decided to try Acupuncture with Dr. Ayla Wolf. Dr.Wolf is a nationally known acupuncturist and educator. As a clinician she is outstanding, her grasp of neurology far exceeds any physician I am familiar with. She has a bedside manner again vastly superior to other clinicians I know. Since we were coming from a long distance she saw me 2 times a day for one week. By the end of the week, I had improved greatly and was sent home with a follow up plan, Chinese meds, and exercises. All far more than the treatments offered by the Traditional western medical Physicians.
